EERA's valued member, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), through its Institute for Renewable Energy Systems (EIRES), has announced it will host its annual ‘Energizing Day’ on Friday, 31 October 2025.

The event, taking place at the TU/e campus in Eindhoven, promises a full day of inspiration, innovation, and networking dedicated to the latest breakthroughs in energy storage and conversion. It offers an excellent opportunity for the EERA community to connect with leading international experts and explore solutions to the challenges of the energy transition.

The day will feature a series of top-notch speakers who will share their views, solutions, and outlooks, including:

• Professor Ted Sargent (Northwestern University Toronto)

• Professor Michel Haller (OST Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences)

• Professor Álvaro Gutiérrez Martín (Director of the Renewable Distributed Generation and Intelligent Control Research Group)

• Dr. Tina Fawcett (Senior Researcher and Associate Professor, Oxford University)

A special feature of the event will be a unique contribution from artist-in-residence Rosalie Apituley, who will invite attendees to look at the topic of energy from a completely different perspective.

The EIRES Energizing Day is open to all researchers, industry experts, and stakeholders interested in the future of energy systems. While the full program is still under construction, all interested parties are encouraged to save the date for this key event.
