The EERA Joint Programme on Energy Storage is pleased to announce the 1st Summer School TCM Friends Academy, a premier event for the next generation of energy storage experts. This inaugural school will take place from September 29 to October 1, 2025, in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Organized by our valued member, the National Institute of Chemistry Slovenia, this event falls under the JP's sub-programme on Thermal Energy Storage. As Europe seeks to decarbonize its energy systems, advanced solutions like Thermochemical Materials (TCMs) are paramount due to their potential for high-density, long-duration energy storage.

The summer school aims to bring together Master's students, PhD candidates, and leading experts to dive deep into the field of TCMs. It will cover the full lifecycle of these innovative materials, from the latest advances in their synthesis and characterization to their practical application in thermal energy storage and transformation systems.

This unique event will feature a dynamic blend of activities, including:
